Hello Patricia,
One of our Members, living in Sherborne, USA is researching his ancestors in Kilmarnock. In his case it is the other variant of the Bunting surname, Buntin, that he is looking for. Perhaps the Scottish dialect is sufficient to confuse the two. Tell us a little more about your family so that perhaps we can help each other.
Michael.
