2. i. AGNES 2 BUNTAIN , b. 12 Nov 1837, Kilmacolm, Renfrew, Scotland; d. 29 Oct 1916, Vulcan Cottage, Glasgow Street, Millport, Bute, Scotland.

Generation No. 2

2. AGNES 2 BUNTAIN (P ETER 1 ) was born 12 Nov 1837 in Kilmacolm, Renfrew, Scotland, and died 29 Oct 1916 in Vulcan Cottage, Glasgow Street, Millport, Bute, Scotland. She married MATHEW SOMMERVILLE 22 Oct 1852 in Kilmacolm, Renfrew, son of THOMAS SOMMERVILLE and CHRISTIAN MCLARTY . He was born 17 Aug 1828 in Millport, Bute, and died 24 Jan 1890 in Vulcan Cottage, Millport, Cumbrae, Bute.

Hi!
Having been recording Buntings married in Scotland at the Society of Genealogists' Library I find from time to time that I come across the variant Buntain.
The same sort of variant also occurs in England.

So how about being more than anonymous and logging in as a real person as shown on the right hand side of the "Home" page.

Then help us to help you by giving us a few dates with places of any B,M or D so that we can see which of our Members might also be searching for a Buntain at that time or place.

JOHN BUNTAIN WAS THE ILLIGATE SON OF AGNES BUNTAIN;  AGNES MARRIED TWICE AFTER SHE WAS WIDOWED SHE MARRIED A  JAMES MCNIVEN.   JOHN HER SON MARRIED SARAH ANN BELL BORN IN IRELAND, WHERE I DO NOT KNOW.     THE HAS QUITE A FEW CHILDRES ;DOROTHY   10   JAMES   8   JOHN   12    MARGARET 14   MARY   17     ROBERT   1    SARAH   4    WILLIAM   6.

    I HOPE THIS IS OF SOME INTEREST TO SOMEONE.
