Have you tried looking at deaths in BT's he may have died shortly after birth and perhaps buried alone. I did find a twin for someone else (not Bunting) but this was 1901 when he died. That is my only solution
Sorry Gwen I am so ignorant I do not even know what BTs are.
Daniel, I think Gwen is referring to Bishop's Transcripts.
Thankyou. I feel a visit to Monyash coming on!
Stumbled across this website and was immediately interested.
My mothers father Albert Edward Bunting b 1889 Maryborough Victoria Australia was also a twin (Elsie Victoria)
His grandfather William Bunting was b 1823 in Southreppes Norfolk. This is as far back as I have gone so far.
As fraternal twins run in families I wonder how many other Bunting twins there are?
I am originally from Benalla Victoria and decend from another William Bunting who came from Armagh (seemingly 1852). He lived in the Longwood area. But in researching him, I saw reference to a William Bunting who ran a store and was a butcher in Maryborough (Vic) in 1854 (from memory). Source was either the Victorian Govt gazette or the Argus newspaper. A bit of patient googling will find this old snippet again.
This family tree is on the web site, but can only be accessed by members of the Society. The tree has two generations before William.
