Buntings of Drumlin, Magheralin, Co. Down
Authored by: Anonymous on 05:57PM UTC - Friday, 28 September 2012

My grandfather was James Bunting and was born in Belfast.  His father was Allan Bunting and mother Jane Pollock, both from Donacloney, near Magheralin. The Buntings are Church of Ireland. Allan, like many others, came to Belfast for work. He was a draper and then a linen lapper. Granda was a hackle setter and then an insurance inspector with Pearl Assurance. At the minute, I don't have any more information on the Donacloney Buntings but intend to go to the Public Records Office in Belfast to find out more.
