Buntings of Wanganui, NEW ZEALAND
Authored by: Frank Bunting on 03:32PM GMT - Saturday, 23 February 2013

My guess is that Bunting and Mathers came from Portadown-Lurgan area. See this Griffiths valuation list below - (early 1860s data publish a few years later) and see similar for closeby Drumcree. Hope that helps and can get you started digging deeper. Also, I note a Bunting-Mathers Linen manufactoring company existed a lttle later (at least) in Lurgan. I dont think these Buntings closely relate to mine (also Armagh). See info elsewhere on this site (need to be a member) re William B to Longwood Vic Aust and Thomas B to Christchurch area. These are my group. Also see an article coming in next Journal. Frank Bunting
