Marjorie Moore, F.S.G., Deceased.

Marjorie Moore, F.S.G., a friend, also a well known and respected person in the field of international family history and Organiser of the 2006, Society of Genealogists Show on April 29th, has died in a Safari, motoring accident whilst she was on holiday in South Africa. She will be cremated in South Africa.

My heart felt condolences go out to Richard, her husband.

Quainton Buntings On The Move.

The issue of the Buckinghamshire Ancestor Family History Journal for December 1994 had an item that was collected by Roy Hurst from a newspaper, The Windsor and Eton Express, UK, dated 3rd April 1830. It reported that Mr Bunting of Quainton, plus his family, was emigrating to the USA.

My Mary Ann Bunting was a Widow when she married George Wareham 23-5-1879 at Rockhampton, Queensland. Australia.She was 28 years old and born in 1851.

FFHSs NEWS: Has the ITV Takeover Affected the Online, UK, 1901 Census Service?

You will already be aware that QinetiQ recently sold its rights as licensee for the UK 1901 census online to Friends Reunited. It was confirmed today that ITV has bought Friends Reunited, and with it the right to operate the UK 1901 census service.
