48 - Back Cover. St Nicholas New Romney.

St Nicholas is located in the centre of New Romney. Built in the 12th century by the Normans with some Gothic additions at the east end. It has a large and attractive exterior, with a stout tower that once overlooked the harbour and still bears scars from the great storm of 1287.
